Thread ring gauge

The thread ring gauge is used to measure the correctness of the external thread size,with one piece for the through end and one piece for the stop end.The stop ring gauge has grooves on the outer cylindrical surface.When the size is above 100 millimeters,the thread ring gauge is a double shank thread ring gauge type.The specifications are divided into three types:coarse thread,fine thread,and pipe thread.Level 2 precision thread gauges with a pitch of 0.35 millimeters or less and above,as well as Level 3 precision thread gauges with a pitch of 0.8 millimeters or less,do not have end stops.

How is the thread ring gauge used?

When using thread ring gauges,it should be noted that the tolerance level and deviation code of the tested thread are the same as the tolerance level and deviation code marked on the ring gauge.Inspection and measurement process:First,clean the oil and impurities on the measured thread.Then,align the ring gauge with the measured thread,and use the big and index fingers to rotate the ring gauge to make it fit in a free state.If it passes the full length of the thread,it will be judged as qualified.Otherwise,it will not be judged as qualified.

How can thread ring gauges extend their service life?

1.On the production site,measuring instruments should be placed in the process fixed position and handled with care to prevent damage to the measuring surface caused by collisions.It is strictly prohibited to use measuring tools as cutting tools to force them into the thread,in order to avoid early wear.Adjustable thread ring gauges are strictly prohibited for non metrological personnel to adjust arbitrarily,ensuring the accuracy of the measuring tool.If the environmental regulations are not used for a long time,they should be handed over to the metrology management department for proper storage.

2.After the use of the thread ring gauge,the attachments on the measuring area should be cleaned in a timely manner and stored in the designated measuring tool box.

3.After adjusting the adjustable thread ring gauge,the measuring part will lose its roundness.This phenomenon will be re measured and identified by the metrology personnel after thread grinding.Only after each dimension is qualified can it be put into use.

4.The measuring tools in use should be measured with a calibrated plug gauge every working day.
