Elevator counterweight iron
Elevator counterweight iron,also known as weight balancing system,is mainly used to balance the weight of the elevator car.During elevator operation,it can keep the weight difference between the car and the counterweight within the limit,and the traction transmission of the elevator is normal.
Elevator cast iron counterweight blocks are generally classified according to the modeling method,and are commonly divided into ordinary sand mold counterweight blocks and special counterweight blocks.Ordinary sand mold counterweight blocks include three types:wet sand mold,dry sand mold,and chemically hardened sand mold.Special counterweight blocks can be divided into two categories according to the different shaping materials:one type uses mineral sand and gravel as the main shaping material,such as investment mold counterweight iron,shell counterweight iron,negative pressure counterweight iron,mud counterweight iron,solid counterweight iron,ceramic counterweight iron,etc;A type of metal as the main casting material,such as metal mold counterweight iron,centrifugal counterweight iron,continuous counterweight iron,pressure counterweight iron,low-pressure counterweight iron,etc.The counterweight iron process can be divided into three basic parts,namely counterweight iron metal preparation,mold preparation,and casting.
Elevator counterweight iron is a relatively economical rough forming method,which demonstrates its economy for complex shaped parts.Such as the cylinder block and cylinder head of car engines,ship propellers,and artworks.Some difficult to cut parts,such as nickel based alloy parts of gas turbines,cannot be formed without elevator counterweight iron method.

The materials commonly used in the production of elevator counterweight iron include various metals,coke,wood,plastics,gas and liquid fuels,and shaping materials.The required equipment includes various furnaces for smelting metals,various sand mixers for sand mixing,various molding and core making machines for shaping and core making,as well as sand blowers and shot blasting machines for cleaning castings.There are also machines and equipment for special elevator counterweights,as well as many transportation and material handling equipment.
The production of elevator counterweight iron has different characteristics from other processes,mainly including wide adaptability,requiring more materials and equipment,and polluting the environment.The production of elevator counterweight iron will produce dust,gas,and noise that pollute the environment,which is more serious than other mechanical manufacturing processes,and measures need to be taken to control it.
