What are the uses of a gear runout tester?

How is the gear runout tester used to measure workpieces?

The gear runout tester measures the radial runoutΔFr of the ring gear.Within the range of one revolution of the gear,the measuring head is in contact with both sides of the groove teeth or the gear,and the measuring head has a large contact with the gear axis.Therefore,the inspection of the radial runout of the ring gear is carried out by measuring the original tooth strip.During inspection,fix the inspected gear installed on the core shaft between the two top pins of the instrument,insert the measuring head with the original tooth profile of the rack into the teeth of the gear in sequence,and indicate the runout of the measuring head position on the gear rotation axis with an indicator.

Attachment structure of gear runout tester:

1.Right angle lever:for measuring end face runout.
