Machine tool bed castings are large castings that are commonly forged using resin sand and disappearing molds.The advantages are:

The characteristics of machine tool bed castings:

1.Good seismic resistance.Due to the advantage of graphite in cast iron for lubrication and oil storage,it is beneficial.Similarly,due to the presence of graphite,its seismic resistance is superior to that of steel.

2.Good process performance.Due to its high carbon content and close to eutectic composition,gray cast iron has a relatively low melting point,good fluidity,and low shrinkage rate,making it suitable for casting structurally complex or thin-walled castings.In addition,due to the tendency of graphite to form chips during cutting,the machinability of gray cast iron is better than that of steel.Our factory also produces various large casting products such as machine bed bodies,large castings,and vertical lathe castings.

Requirements for Lost Foam Mold for Machine Tool Castings:

(1)Coating requirements:Use water-based graphite coating with a Baume degree between 60-70.When painting,it should be done in a greenhouse and must not be moved before drying to prevent deformation.

(2)Brushing requirements:The coating should be mixed evenly and the white should be strictly exposed during brushing.

(3)Coating drying:After drying,the coating should have sufficient strength and be dried at 50-60℃for 24 hours.
