What is the difference between self heating aging and thermal aging of ordinary ground rails?

1.The natural time efficiency of ordinary ground rails is an ancient method of time efficiency.It places the components outdoors,and after several months to several years of wind,sun,rain,and seasonal temperature changes,it promotes the relaxation of residual stress and stabilizes the dimensional accuracy.The advantages of natural aging are:good dimensional stability of components,simple and feasible methods,.The disadvantage is that the production cycle is long,occupies a large space,is difficult to manage,and cannot detect defects in the components in a timely manner,which has gradually been eliminated.

2.Heat aging:Slowly and uniformly heat ordinary ground rail castings from room temperature to around 550℃,keep them warm for 4-8 hours,and then strictly control the cooling rate to below 150℃before being taken out of the furnace.The requirements for thermal aging process are strict,such as requiring the temperature difference inside the furnace not to exceed±25℃,the heating rate not to exceed 50℃/hour,and the cooling rate not to exceed 20℃/hour.The high temperature inside the furnace should not exceed 570℃,and the insulation time should not be too long.If the temperature exceeds 570℃and the insulation time is too long,it will cause a decrease in the strength of the components.If the heating rate is too fast,the heating rate at the thin-walled part of the component is much faster than that at the thick wall,and the temperature difference between different parts of the component increases sharply,which will cause additional temperature stress.If the additional stress and the residual stress of the component itself exceed the strength,it will cause the component to crack.
