Housing casting

Housing casting are metal formed objects obtained through various casting methods,that is,molten liquid metal is injected into pre prepared molds through pouring,injection,suction,or other casting methods,cooled,polished,and other subsequent processing methods,resulting in objects with determined shape,size,and performance.

The theoretical metal liquid forming of shell castings is often referred to as casting,and casting forming technology has a long history.As early as 5000 years ago,our ancestors were able to cast red copper and bronze products.Casting is a widely used metal liquid forming process.It is a method of pouring liquid metal into the mold cavity,waiting for it to cool and solidify,to obtain a blank or part with a determined shape.

Liquid formed parts account for a large proportion in machine equipment,with liquid formed parts accounting for 70%to 90%of the total weight in machine tools,internal combustion engines,mining machinery,and heavy machinery;50%to 70%in automobiles and tractors;It accounts for 40%to 70%of agricultural machinery.The liquid forming process is widely used because it has the following advantages:

(1)Can produce rough parts with complex shapes and inner cavities.Such as various boxes,machine bed bodies,cylinder bodies,cylinder heads,etc.

(2)The process has great flexibility and wide adaptability.The size of liquid formed parts is almost unlimited,and their weight can range from a few grams to several hundred tons.Their wall thickness can range from 0.5mm to about 1m.Any metal material that can dissolve into a liquid state in industry can be used for liquid forming.For cast iron with poor plasticity,liquid forming is a practical and innovative method for producing its blanks or parts.

(3)The cost of liquid formed parts is relatively low.Liquid forming can directly utilize waste machinery and chips,with lower equipment costs.At the same time,the processing allowance of liquid formed parts is small,saving metal.
