How was the structure of the cast iron platform designed

Cast iron platform is a large flat wall thickness product,and its panel thickness is closely related to its tensile strength.The mechanical properties indicated by the gray cast iron grade are measured under conditions using a single casting specimen with a diameter of 30mm.They can only reflect the mechanical properties of the part of the casting that is equivalent to the casting conditions of the specimen,and cannot represent the mechanical properties of all parts of the entire casting.This is because gray cast iron is particularly sensitive to wall thickness.Therefore,the standard GB9439-1988 provides a table of the relationship between the wall thickness and mechanical properties of gray cast iron castings(see Table 1.2-3).After selecting cast iron,the tensile strength that can be achieved under different wall thicknesses of the castings can be found to verify the strength and stiffness of various parts of gray cast iron.

The wall thickness of the cast iron platform casting is too thin,resulting in defects such as insufficient pouring and cold shuts.This is because the too thin wall thickness cannot provide enough capacity for the casting alloy liquid to fill the mold.Usually,under certain casting conditions,each casting alloy has a wall thickness that can fill the mold,which is commonly referred to as the wall thickness of the casting alloy.When designing castings,the design wall thickness of the castings should not be less than the wall thickness.This wall thickness is related to the fluidity of the casting alloy liquid and the external dimensions of the casting.

The steel bars of the cast iron platform are designed on the non-contact surface at the bottom of the platform,and their tensile direction follows the direction of the platform's stress and displacement.The selection of steel reinforcement position should be considered in production.The length of the reinforcing rib is consistent with the length of the cast iron platform,and its two ends are connected to the extension line of the cast iron platform,or the total length is the same as the cast iron platform.The main shape of reinforcing ribs is how many square or rectangular grids are formed by reinforcing ribs attached to the bottom surface of the cast iron platform.However,in order to meet certain production or structural requirements,the shape and size of the stiffeners can be changed according to actual needs.

The height of the cast iron platform is designed according to standards.The height of the platform is 150-300 millimeters,and there is a platform support adjustment bracket at the bottom to adjust the platform to a height of 700-850 millimeters.The design and manufacturing of cast iron platforms comply with the JB/T794-1999 standard for cast iron flat plates.

The thickness requirements for cast iron platforms mainly include the thickness of the working face,the thickness and height of the sidewalls,the thickness,height and density of the bottom reinforcement plate.The price of cast iron sheets for different purposes also varies.The price of cast iron sheets for the same purpose is also divided into model,material,hardness,accuracy,etc.The procurement standards for cast iron sheets should follow the principle of comparing goods from three sources and asking more questions and comparing more.
