The causes of casting and deformation during the production of cast iron platfor

In the consumption of cast iron platforms,casting porosity and casting shrinkage are sometimes associated and sometimes stand out.When presenting porosity and shrinkage,we need to distinguish whether the defect is porosity or shrinkage in order to address the problem requirements.To distinguish between these two types of defects,it is important to first understand their characteristics.Now,we will teach everyone to distinguish between porosity and shrinkage defects in cast iron platforms by understanding their characteristics.

In the consumption of casting,porosity defects are common defects and also one of the defects that cause significant losses to the foundry.Pore defects are divided into porosity and shrinkage.Pores are mostly caused by the intrusion,wrapping,and entrainment of gases in the molten metal.

There are several reasons for the wear and tear of cast iron platforms during use.Initially,some manufacturers did not clean their workplaces,which not only caused accuracy errors but also increased the wear and tear of cast iron platforms.Another issue is incorrect use of cast iron platforms,such as using flat plates to inspect workpieces with rough surfaces,which can lead to rapid wear and tear.The influence of workpiece information and surface quality of the workpiece.When the workpiece is made of cast iron,the wear of the cast iron platform is greater;When the workpiece is made of soft metals such as copper and aluminum,the wear is relatively small;Workpieces with rough surfaces are prone to scratching the surface of the cast iron platform.When the surface hardness of the cast iron platform is low,it is prone to wear.Excessive force measurement on the workpiece can cause deformation or early wear of the cast iron platform.

The main reasons for causing deformation of cast iron platforms are:

1.Due to residual internal stress,it affects the static strength and dimensional stability of the cast iron platform,not only reducing the elasticity of the platform,but also producing plastic deformation that reduces internal stress.

2.Due to internal defects in platform data.

3.When the yield strength of the cast iron platform data is affected by external loads,the platform undergoes long-term deformation due to excessive stress.

4.As the temperature increases,the atomic thermal vibration of the cast iron platform data increases,and only shear resistance can lower it,which is prone to slip deformation and causes the data to yield to falling;Or uneven heating of the platform,large temperature differences in various places,generating significant thermal stress,causing deformation of the cast iron platform.

It should be pointed out that the deformation of the platform is not the result of a single element's action,but often the result of several reasons working together and accumulating multiple deformations.

The consumption of the cast iron inspection platform is determined to stop processing according to the corresponding design principles.The material used is usually molding sand,and its performance will directly affect the quality of the casting.Therefore,molding sand should have good breathability,wet strength,activity,plasticity,and flexibility.Green sand should be made of polygonal or circular stone sand with particle sizes of 55/100,75/150,and 100/200,in order to achieve good external strength and sand resistance.When the clay content is the same,bentonite has a higher thermal wet tensile strength than ordinary clay.Adding an appropriate amount of coal powder,wood chips,etc.to wet clay sand can improve its ability to resist sand inclusion and avoid sand inclusion and sticking,resulting in a bright appearance of castings.The moisture content of molding sand is set at around 6%to give it good comprehensive performance.When consuming gray cast iron parts,strict control must be exercised over the quality of the furnace and package materials,and the inspection and acceptance of their composition,block size,and physicochemical properties must be stopped as requested.Inoculated cast iron is a type of gray cast iron with flake graphite,but its manufacturing principle is different from ordinary cast iron,which increases the inoculation process.Add an appropriate amount of inoculant to low-carbon,silicon based molten iron to prevent excessive graphitization.

The processing efficiency of the cast iron inspection platform is one of the key factors that determine it,and it is also the main factor for the quality of the platform to pass.It is also related to the stability of the operators in the later stage.Therefore,everyone should take the casting process seriously and not affect the overall strength of the casting due to any carelessness.It is necessary for China to adopt the correct methods and operating environment when using large cast iron platforms,so that the accuracy of the working surface of the cast iron platform can be maintained for more than 2 years.Therefore,it is important to pay attention to the above points during use in order to extend the service life and improve work quality.

The reason for the deformation of cast iron flat plates may be due to the failure of the plates to properly stop annealing and aging of internal stress after sanding.It is also possible that during use,the cast iron flat plate was not leveled,resulting in uneven stress on the four corners of the cast iron flat plate and deformation of the platform flat plate.The method of handling is to stop the aging treatment of the inspection plate again,try to make the casting structure reasonable,and try to reduce the casting stress as much as possible.Sometimes anti deformation measures are used to control and adjust the appearance during manufacturing.Natural aging and artificial aging methods are commonly used for casting residual stress.Check the internal stress of the flat plate;Reprocess the deformed flat plate to restore the original accuracy of the cast iron flat plate;During the use of the flat plate,the four corners of the plate should be leveled to evenly distribute the forces on the four corners and prevent the cast iron plate from deforming again.
